I feel I did not get the right advice and was misled by this investment. I don’t recommend this and it is a really disastrous and disappointing investment where 3 policies bought has about 20 percent dropped in projected value.

Poor post sales follow up. Had to constantly chase for updates when plan had not been assigned after nearly 6 weeks. Having bought plans from REPS and other traded endowment companies, a 6 weeks wait is unheard of. As of late, I can only say that standards from REPS in terms of plan competitiveness and sales standards have been declining. May not purchase another plan if standard continue to remain at this level. [Update 26/03/24]: Found out that application was stuck with REPS for nearly a month. Signed application on 3 Feb 24, REPS admin only cleared the case on 27 Feb and received by the insurer on 1 March. Insurer cleared and assigned on 15 March. Reducing my rating to 2 stars.

I just want to share my bad investment experience with this company REPS. I bought 4 nos. of traded policy from them from year 2020 to 2022. The sales agent told me the non-guranteed sum is quite accurate for those short term policy near maturity date. Recently when I received the bonus statement from GE, I realised that there was a deep cut in the bonus of 7.2K in the non-gurantee sum which previously I thought the most is 1k to 2k. If the participating funds continue to underperform, I believe the insurance company will cut their bonus again in future. I believed many investor who invested in traded policy facing the same situation as me and many even lose money when their policy come to their maturity date. When I met up with them in their office, they only agreed to compensate me with future credit of 5k which mean I need to fork out money to buy more policy from them. Really a bad experience when dealing with REPS.

Very dissapointed with the traded policy the sales agent try to sell to me. The sales agent try to convince me to buy policy by telling me false information that the projected maturity value is the minimum value i will receive when policy matured. It give me false hope and confuse me. Since this looks great to me with minimum project maturity value meet, the sales agent requested me to reserve the policy with SGD1k deposit first on 7 May. Until few days later i study the policy and realise the projected maturity value include the non guaranteed value which does involve risk of losing capital and non guaranteed bonus. I requested for refund from the agent on 19 May but been rejected many times. I have to call REPS holding for deposit refund directly. Hopefully REPS holding refund the deposit to me asap. It really a bad experience and nightmare to deal. UPDATE: REPS holding has refunded depost. Have a great communication with the manager.
